About Us
KAREN BRESLER
 |
" When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, (like healing a serious illness), all of your thoughts break their bonds, your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. All dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far that you ever dreamed yourself to be."
– Patanjali |
Karen Bresler has a B.A. in psychology and a degree in law (LL.B), and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). She has practiced as
a lawyer for nearly 20 years and has training in mediation. Karen has a passion for working with and assisting people to be the very best that they can be. Her other passions
are her family, her dogs, music, reading writing and exercise, lots of it. Because Karen
realized that her overriding work passion lies in her ability to motivate, assist and inspire people,
she researched carefully coach training institutions and obtained her training as a coach
through the highly acclaimed Coaches Training Institute, an international coaches
training organization recognized by the International Coaching Federation. Karen
founded Ignite Coaching Inc in 2007. She has since gone from strength to strength as she
realizes her personal philosophy of working with passion and working in alignment with
her values. She believes that once you truly understand what is important to you; what
excites you and what makes you perform at optimal levels, you can do anything by
simply focusing your attention and you will Make It Happen.
Karen’s mantras;
Whatever you do, do it with Passion!
Make It Happen!

About Dragons And Eagles

The Ignite Coaching Inc logo of a dragon breathing fire is based on a creative vision
about the impact coaching can have on clients; the igniting of the fire within you, the
magnificent potential, when you are engaged in the process of coaching. Nicknamed the
Dragon at school because of her Dutch maiden name “van Draanen”, Karen felt naturally
comfortable with the image of a dragon to illustrate her passion for coaching.
Although Dragons are mythical, eagles are not and are very much a part of nature.
Dragons are said to be part eagle. Eagles soar in the same way as Dragons are said to
have soared. Our wish at Ignite Coaching Inc. is that you will soar to your own new
heights and be inspired by your own symbols of magnificence.
“First Nations people believe that the Eagle ”principal messenger of the creator” flies higher than any other living being, has eyesight that can see into the soul and has feathers that are powerful tools for healing. The Eagle teaches us to be wise enough to recognize opportunities, to know when a change needs to be made in one’s life and to find the courage to execute such change. The Eagle teaches us not to be afraid of the unknown”
- from the mission and goal statement of the UBC Department of Urologic Sciences
